Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

Our policy, the Internal Committee, and how to raise a complaint under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace for everyone. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance approach towards sexual harassment in any form, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every person who works with us is treated with dignity.

This commitment applies across our group companies — Talwar & Talwar Consultants and Services Private Limited, Talwar & Talwar Consultants Private Limited, and XLSCOUT XLPAT Private Limited — and extends to all our offices, branches, remote and co-working locations, and to any place our people visit in the course of their work.

Legal Framework

Our POSH framework is established in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the Rules made thereunder. We have adopted an internal POSH Policy, constituted an Internal Committee, and put in place a clear mechanism for prevention, awareness and redressal.

While the statutory redressal mechanism under the Act pertains to complaints made by women, we are committed to a harassment-free workplace for all employees, and concerns raised by any employee are addressed seriously under our internal policy.

What Constitutes Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment includes any one or more unwelcome acts or behaviour — whether directly or by implication — such as:

  • Unwelcome physical contact and advances
  • A demand or request for sexual favours
  • Sexually coloured remarks
  • Showing pornography or sexually explicit material
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature

It also includes conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, humiliating or offensive work environment, or any implied or explicit promise or threat connected to a person's employment.

Internal Committee

An Internal Committee (IC) has been constituted to receive and address complaints of sexual harassment. The IC comprises:

How to Raise a Complaint

Any employee who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment is encouraged to come forward. A complaint may be made in writing to any member of the Internal Committee or to ic@ttconsultants.com. If a person is unable to put the complaint in writing, the Committee will provide all reasonable assistance to do so.

Every complaint is handled through a fair, impartial and confidential process. The Committee hears all parties, and the organisation acts on its recommendations in line with the POSH Act and our internal policy. Where the complainant prefers, conciliation may be explored before a formal inquiry.

Confidentiality and Protection from Retaliation

We treat every complaint with the utmost sensitivity. The identity of the complainant, the respondent and witnesses, and the details of the proceedings, are kept strictly confidential in accordance with the Act.

No employee will be disadvantaged, penalised or victimised for raising a complaint or participating in an inquiry in good faith. Complaints made in good faith are fully protected — an inability to substantiate a complaint is never treated as a false or malicious complaint.

Awareness and Sensitization

We believe prevention begins with awareness. In keeping with our obligations under the Act, we carry out ongoing sensitization and capacity-building initiatives, including:

  • Onboarding orientation on our POSH Policy and reporting channels for every new joiner
  • Periodic awareness sessions and workshops to sensitize employees to what constitutes sexual harassment, their rights, and how to seek redressal
  • Orientation and skilling programmes for Internal Committee members to help them discharge their responsibilities effectively
  • Wide dissemination of our POSH Policy and Internal Committee details through the intranet, employee communications and workplace displays — including at our branch and co-working locations
  • A workplace culture that encourages respectful conduct and makes it safe to speak up

Redressal, Governance and Reporting

The Internal Committee conducts inquiries in a time-bound and confidential manner as prescribed under the Act, and submits its findings and recommendations to the management for action. We maintain records of complaints and outcomes, and file the annual return with the designated District Officer as required by law.
